HUTT CITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM 18

We respond to emergency response situations which includes civil defence, storm, flood and earthquake response, first aid and missing persons search, within the Greater Wellington rescue response network.

We work closely with Wellington’s local authorities and emergency services which include Hutt City Council, Fire, Police, Ambulance, the Ministry of Civil Defence Emergency Management (MCDEM), Wellington Region Emergency Management Office (WREMO), and New Zealand Defence Force.

When called out the team abides to the lead agency’s legislation, operating rules and works within the lead agency’s command and control structures.
